The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description

The Credential Intake Assistant is responsible for requesting and processing requests for academic credentials and transcripts from prospective students. They maintain aspects of the academic record by receiving and maintaining student documentation of course work under consideration for transfer.

 

Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Process and evaluate transcript and credential requests for prospective or continuing graduate students. Ensure that requests are accurately processed, fulfilled in a timely manner, and comply with university policies and regulations. Act as an individual contributor to provide support in a variety of routine and standardized responsibilities within the Credential Evaluation team. Maintain assigned aspects of the academic record including, but not limited to, receiving, and maintaining student documentation under consideration for review, and accurately record results in the appropriate systems. Maintain all pertinent records in compliance with federal and state laws, university regulations and policies. The associate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to be both a team player and independent contributor. Works efficiently and reports worktime accurately, to be good stewards of the student’s tuition dollars. Collaborate with a team lead, supervisor/manager as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrate ability to analyze information and come to appropriate conclusions, driven by policies and procedures. Communication, ability to analyze, ability to assess information. Understand how to apply FERPA regulations to business processes. Thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment with deadlines and work expectations. Achieve quality assurance standards for accuracy and customer service. Work with the team to provide solutions to problems of limited complexity and to ensure the academic success of students. Effectively utilize robust web-based and networked applications to maintain and analyze information critical to the daily function environment. Evaluate and interpret documentation and requests as they relate to WGU, U.S. Department of Education, and other policies to determine applicability to student record. Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills. Stay current on available resources to support the academic success of students. Receptive to feedback and coaching. Education High School diploma or equivalent. Experience Requires basic knowledge of processes and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other similar software applications. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively. Preferred Experience 1 or more years of related experience. This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.

Position & Application Details
