1. Financial Planning

· Support the development and implementation of financial plans that align with business objectives, contributing to sustainable growth and profitability across regions.

· Assist with the development of financial budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate planning and reporting.

· Help manage the Product P&L for the Ocean Freight department, including monitoring revenue, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities to improve margins.

2. Carrier strategy and relationship

· Support the development and execution of regional carrier partnership strategies.

· Together with the Regional Head of Ocean Freight maintain relationships with core carriers and monitor service performance.

· Define key trade lanes and services relevant to the country / cluster.

3. Operational process and execution

· Oversee regional process improvements and support digitalization initiatives.

· Coordinate consolidation efficiency and cost optimization.

· Monitor operational KPIs and support onboarding of regional customer accounts.

· Ensure compliance with local regulations and sanctions.

· Ensure adherence to established structures and processes to maintain consistency and compliance across operations.

· Contribute to productivity improvement initiatives by identifying efficiencies and supporting implementation of best practices.

4. Procurement and Pricing

· Execute country / cluster procurement strategies for FCL and LCL to ensure competitive pricing.

· Support pricing activities for RFQs and trade lanes within the country / cluster.

· Share market intelligence with country / cluster teams to guide commercial decisions.

· Together with the Regional Head of Ocean Freight Manage carrier space allocation and provide rate guidance locally.

5. Commercial and Business Development

· Partner with country / cluster sales teams to support growth initiatives.

· Contribute to new business development and customer retention efforts.

· Provide support for sales enablement tools and product training.

6. Compliance/Safety

· Ensure country / cluster compliance with local regulations.

· Maintain relationships with local port authorities and regulatory bodies.

· Promote safety standards and support incident prevention efforts

7. Others

· Support talent development and employee engagement within the country / cluster Ocean Freight team.

· Represent the Ocean Freight function in country / cluster forums and initiatives.
