- Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, close checklists, financial analyses and supporting workpapers.
- Prepare, review and explain monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement and relevant entity-level reporting.
- Partner with FP&A on actuals, reporting definitions, budget and forecast inputs and explanations of accounting-driven variances.
Audit, tax, treasury and accounting services governance
- Lead the relationship with external auditors and coordinate audit schedules, PBC requests, issue tracking, management responses and resolution of audit findings.
- Coordinate with tax advisers and internal stakeholders to provide complete, timely accounting support for tax filings, statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
- Own the accounting control model for cash, bank reconciliations, bank activity and payment-related controls, working closely with FP&A and other designated treasury stakeholders.
- Oversee the relationship with our accounting services partner, including the service catalog, RACI, procedures, SLAs, training, quality assurance and issue escalation.
Technical accounting, policy and internal controls
- Serve as the primary owner of technical accounting research, policy interpretation and documentation, including revenue recognition, intercompany activity and transfer pricing.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, standard operating procedures, approval matrices, reconciliation standards and a practical internal control framework.
- Identify control, data and process risks; implement remediation that strengthens accuracy, auditability, segregation of duties and operational effectiveness.
Finance transformation
- Serve as the owner for the broader Finance team’s process and technology change, including D365 Finance, reporting data, close and reconciliation processes, AR workflow, AP workflow, automation and AI-enabled tools.
- Maintain a Finance transformation roadmap; translate business needs into clear requirements, process maps, data definitions, control requirements, test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Technology to evaluate solutions, lead testing, assess readiness, drive adoption and change management and confirm that delivered capabilities meet Finance’s operating needs.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate recurring work while preserving effective controls, evidence, data quality and appropriate human review.
Leadership and partnership
- Partner effectively with the CFO, FP&A, Technology, Legal, Procurement, HR, external advisers and business leaders to support sound financial operations and decision-making.
- Provide updates to the CFO on close status, control risks, accounting issues, audit and tax matters, service provider performance and transformation progress.
- Shape the future finance operating model as the business and transformation agenda evolve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
