Position Summary

The Contracts Analyst manages assigned projects and strategic initiatives in support of Supply Chain Management (SCM). This position uses contract, supplier, workflow, and procurement data to identify trends, monitor performance, support process improvements, and provide actionable insights to SCM leadership. The Contract Analyst owns the intake and workflow process for the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool and prepares presentations, dashboard metrics, and other reports as assigned.

Job Description

• Coordinates the execution of special projects, anticipating problems and following through to resolution. Works with the department management team to make strategic decisions and manage important initiatives.
• Negotiates and maintains contracts for assigned basic services and other projects ensuring core University requirements are implemented with 3rd parties.  Develops and monitors the Basic Services Contractor (BSC) initiatives (e.g., scholarship, trans pass, entry-level wage and health care).  Manages third party ombuds program for BSC employees and works with HR on resolutions to issues identified via hotline.
• Conducts research and analysis on SCM, procurement, contract activity, supplier performance, stakeholder feedback, and operational trends. Gathers, validates, organizes, and interprets data to support recommendations, project direction, process improvements, and management decision-making.

• Supports RFP management by designing competitive frameworks, organizing response data, tracking evaluation inputs, identifying missing information, and preparing comparative summaries for SCM team review.
• Assesses SCM processes using available data, workflow metrics, stakeholder input, and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities, efficiency gains, risk areas, and potential cost savings. Develops and maintains dashboards and recurring reports that track key metrics across SCM product and service categories. 
• Owns the contract intake process for the Supply Chain Management team, including the timely and accurate processing of all intake requests. Monitors contract intake volume, cycle times, routing accuracy, backlog, data quality, and other workflow metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. Serves as main point of contact and resource center for stakeholders and SMEs and develops and delivers training sessions.
• Drives communications with university stakeholders. Develops and composes communications, creates presentations, and ensures SCM website content and community-facing collateral remain up-to-date, accurate, and relevant.

Salary Range

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
