What you’ll do

• Grinding Operations: Operate hand held grinders to safely remove excess metal from inside and outside castings, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. 
• Quality Verification: Verify fit accuracy by correctly using gaging tools with different thickness feeler gages to maintain product standards. 
• Material Handling: Utilize hoists to manipulate castings into proper positions for fitting and gaging, supporting efficient workflow. 
• Documentation: Keep accurate records by filling out shift pitch boards with current pitch details and reasons for any missed pitches, ensuring clear communication between shifts. 
• Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workstation for the next shift/operator to promote safety and efficiency. 
• Physical Requirements: Occasionally move parts weighing up to 50 pounds by hand gaging, demonstrating physical capability and care.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:

• Completion of High School or GED 
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety 
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours and perform physical tasks 
• Strong teamwork and communication skills 

Nice-to-haves:

• Previous manufacturing experience 
• Familiarity with hand held grinders and gaging tools 
• Experience working in a rotating shift environment 
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols in industrial settings 

Compensation: Starting rate will be $28.08/hr.
