Role Overview

We’re looking for a highly operational, systems-minded Contract Manager to own and scale our commercial contracting processes. Sitting at the intersection of Legal, Finance, and GTM, you’ll help ensure contracts move quickly and accurately while maintaining the right level of process, visibility, and risk management.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning complex or manual processes into simple, scalable systems. You’ll manage the day-to-day contracting lifecycle while owning the infrastructure behind it—from intake and approvals to Ironclad workflows, templates, reporting, and automation.

You’ll be successful in this role if you’re highly organized, comfortable operating with autonomy, and constantly looking for ways to make contracting faster and easier for the business.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Contracting

• Manage the full lifecycle of commercial agreements, including creator and influencer agreements, agency MSAs, PR and sponsorship agreements, content licensing, referral agreements, contractor and consulting agreements, NDAs, order forms, amendments, and vendor agreements.

• Own contract intake across Growth, Marketing, PR, Recruiting, Finance, and B2B; route, prioritize, track, and drive requests through completion.

• Independently draft, review, and negotiate NDAs within approved playbooks and fallbacks.

• Prepare first drafts and markups of commercial agreements using Higgsfield templates and playbooks, escalating exceptions to Legal with clear recommendations.

• Conduct final quality checks and coordinate Legal, Finance, and executive approvals before signature.

• Route approved agreements through Ironclad and DocuSign and ensure executed agreements are properly filed.

• Manage contracting SLAs, proactively flag delays, and maintain clear visibility into open matters.

Ironclad & Contract Operations

• Co-own the build and ongoing administration of Ironclad, including intake workflows, approval logic, templates, clause libraries, metadata, permissions, repository structure, and reporting.

• Translate Higgsfield’s contracting playbooks into standardized clauses, approved fallbacks, escalation rules, and automated workflows.

• Build and maintain self-service intake workflows and templates across B2B and non-B2B agreements.

• Maintain permissions, record types, legacy agreements, and repository hygiene so Ironclad remains the single source of truth.

• Troubleshoot workflow issues and partner with workflow engineers when technical support is required.

• Build reporting around contract volume, cycle times, SLAs, and bottlenecks.

• Support integrations and automation across Finance, Security, Slack, AI-assisted review, and other systems.

• Onboard teams to Ironclad and create lightweight documentation that drives adoption.

Operational Excellence

• Own matters from intake through execution, filing, and stakeholder communication.

• Maintain accurate trackers and provide concise, proactive updates without requiring follow-up.

• Identify gaps in templates, workflows, or processes and take ownership of resolving them.

• Apply approved templates and playbooks independently while escalating exceptions early.

• Continuously improve contracting processes through better workflows, automation, reporting, and AI tooling.

Requirements

• 5+ years in contract management, legal operations, or commercial operations, ideally at a high-growth technology company.

• Deep hands-on Ironclad experience building and launching workflows, templates, approvals, permissions, playbooks, and reporting. This is a must.

• Experience scaling or cleaning up a CLM, including legacy migrations, record consolidation, and workflow rollouts.

• Ability to independently negotiate NDAs and prepare first-pass commercial agreement markups using established playbooks.

• Strong working knowledge of commercial agreements and contracting lifecycles; a law degree is not required.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a high-volume environment.

• Strong judgment around applying playbooks, meeting SLAs, and knowing when to escalate to Legal.

• Collaborative, clear communicator who works effectively across Legal, Finance, Growth, Recruiting, PR, and leadership.

• Familiarity with automation and AI tools such as n8n and Claude, with an interest in using technology to scale legal operations.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive and thoughtfully structured compensation package designed to align with impact, experience, and long-term growth.

• Base Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000, depending on experience, skills, scope, and location.

This is a fully remote role based in the United States, with occasional business travel to our San Francisco office required for team meetings, planning sessions, company events, and other in-person collaboration. Team members are expected to be available during agreed working hours and maintain sufficient overlap with the relevant team’s time zone.
