As a valued intern on our Contract Binding team, you will be given real meaningful work as well as support and guidance from our employees and leadership as you continue to develop your skills, gain industry knowledge, and build a strong foundation for your future career.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
As a valued intern on our Contract Binding team, you will gain experience with and exposure to tasks such as:
Review insurance applications and other supporting documents.
Gain experience in evaluating new and renewal business, understanding coverage criteria, and assessing potential risks.
Rating policies and preparing quotes, contributing to the determination of a risk.
Properly classifying risks and premium computation
Other duties as assigned
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
Ability to understand how to identify, assess, and manage risks.
Experience reviewing applications, evaluating risks, pricing, terms and conditions preferred
Knowledge of common insurance terms and products (General Liability, Property).
Proactive and driven to learn
Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
Highly organized with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively
Experience:
Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance
