Über diese Content Strategist Stelle bei Nobody
Who we are
NOBODY® is a social-first agency operating at the top of social strategy for Fortune 500 brands and leading organizations. We pair Big-Three caliber strategic thinking with an agency operating model built for today's challenges. From Insights to Strategy to Activation, we move with speed and precision, and with zero need to stand in the spotlight. We stand behind our work, not in front of it.
In practice, Nobodies are experts in their field who can tie social practices to business impact. Clients call us when they understand that the world operates in communities, and that social media is one of the largest.
We're hiring a Content Strategist to be based in one of our hubs: Washington, DC; Durham, NC; Miami, FL; or Richmond, VA. We support a hybrid work environment with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
The role
As a Content Strategist, you own the content systems and the projects that bring them to life. You turn audience signals into platform-native content people choose to watch, save, and share, and you run the production behind it so work ships on time, on brief, and error-free.
You'll sit in the Activation segment of the organization and partner closely with Insights, Producers and Editors, Community, and Paid Media. You are accountable for how clients show up consistently and credibly in their communities: what they publish, how they engage, and how they build trust over time. The job calls for judgment, relevance, and sustained engagement, with filling a calendar as the starting point rather than the goal.
This role is built for someone early in their career who is already operating above their title. We care more about sharp instincts, strong writing, and disciplined execution than years on a resume.
What you'll do
Build content strategy and programming
-
Develop content and community strategies grounded in audience behavior, platform dynamics, and business goals.
-
Translate signals into content pillars, series concepts, formats, and cadences for each platform. Define channel roles (for example, discovery vs. depth) and seasonal tentpoles.
-
Decide what content should exist, why it matters, and how it supports the broader strategy. Keep approaches sustainable rather than reactive or trend-chasing.
Develop content and write the briefs
-
Write platform-native series and flight briefs covering objective, audience, message map, creative references, and format specs (hooks, length, visual grammar, caption recipe).
-
Shape editorial direction and write crisp, channel-appropriate copy.
-
Partner with designers, copywriters, producers, and editors to bring concepts to life. Give clear direction without over-policing creative expression.
Manage projects end to end
-
Own a rolling 6–8 week content calendar with clear status, owners, deadlines, and tags that support measurement and fast iteration.
-
Run timelines, resourcing, and handoffs across multiple clients and workstreams at once, and flag risks before they become problems.
-
Lead client and internal working sessions, track approvals and feedback rounds, and keep stakeholders informed on status.
-
Build and improve workflows so the team can move quickly without dropping details.
Uphold quality and governance
-
Enforce QA controls and protocols so work ships accurately and error-free, and evolve them based on what you observe and what the team tells you.
-
Uphold tone and voice, accessibility, and brand and issue guardrails. Make sure assets ship on brief and fit platform behavior.
Guide community engagement
-
Shape community engagement approaches, including moderation, response frameworks, and escalation paths.
-
Use community feedback as qualitative signal and feed it back into content decisions.
Test, measure, and optimize
-
Set content KPIs per pillar or series (watch time, saves, completion, qualified comments) and review them weekly with Insights and Strategy.
-
Define distribution and A/B hypotheses (hooks, thumbnails, CTAs, timing), plan controlled tests with Paid, and publish learning agendas with clear next steps.
-
Stay close to cultural moments, platform shifts, and emerging formats, and apply what you learn to content decisions in real time.
What success looks like
-
Content is relevant, consistent, on strategy, and grounded in how audiences actually behave.
-
Projects land on time and on brief, and issues are flagged early and handled correctly.
-
Communities feel engaged, understood, and appropriately managed.
-
Every series has clear KPIs, and learnings visibly shape what the team makes next.
-
Teammates and clients trust your judgment on what to publish, how to engage, and how to run the work.
-
You show steady growth in scope, confidence, and ownership.
What you bring
-
3–5 years in social content strategy, content development, or programming, at an agency or a complex in-house team. Exceptional candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply.
-
A strong track record in content development and management: designing content slates, writing series and format playbooks, and producing briefs creative teams can run with.
-
Proven project management skills. You can run multiple timelines, clients, and stakeholders at once and keep work moving without losing details.
-
Fluency in platform mechanics (format norms, hooks, retention drivers) and in how organic and paid work together.
-
Comfort in a data-driven rhythm: tagging schemas, dashboards, weekly reviews, and experimentation plans.
-
Strong writing and editorial instincts, and the confidence to collaborate with executives and subject matter experts.
-
A habit of reading, watching, and analyzing how social media evolves, and keeping up with platform changes as they happen.
-
Detail orientation and the ability to move smoothly between teams, clients, and types of content.
Nice to have
-
Experience in the technology industry, where products, platforms, and news change constantly, the pace is fast, and the subject matter is highly technical. You know how to make complex ideas clear and engaging for social audiences.
-
Experience with executive social and thought leadership programming in policy, advocacy, or complex stakeholder environments.
You're a good fit if you
-
See content as a system, not a series of posts.
-
Care deeply about how audiences actually behave.
-
Are comfortable making calls in fast-moving environments.
-
Are a self-starter who operates well in ambiguous environments, bringing structure to undefined problems and moving work forward without waiting for perfect direction.
- Are comfortable asking questions, failing fast, and always learning.
-
Balance creative instinct with strategic thinking and operational discipline.
When You Apply
Please include 2–3 work samples that show:
- A content slate, series plan, or content calendar you built
- A brief you wrote
- A short learning memo, optimization rationale, or project you managed from kickoff to launch
