What's the role?
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Consumer Pricing Analyst to join our Consumer division, with the role available to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic, highly motivated team that supports the delivery of pricing initiatives across News Corp Australia. Your primary purpose will be to create a deep understanding of different customer profiles while focusing on improving commercial and customer metrics across the business.
This position is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to drive actionable insights and make a tangible impact in an evolving media landscape.
Responsibilities
Support the modeling, planning, preparation, and monitoring of introductory offers in a multi-channel environment, including briefing, reviewing, and testing offer builds.
Manage audience-led pricing strategies by developing use cases, testing hypotheses based on customer behavior, and delivering optimisation recommendations to key stakeholders.
Utilise statistical modeling methods to prepare insights showing the potential impact of various pricing strategies on margins, costs, profitability, and sales volume.
Assess data from various sources to develop complex pricing models that account for promotional and seasonal pricing based on competitor, market, and customer data.
Manage the subscription price book, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure all offers are correct and current across the appropriate channels.
Set up test plans, determine test parameters, track customer behavior, and regularly report on the progress of use cases to stakeholders.
Who are you?
You are early in your career with approximately 2 years of experience - bonus if you have a background in Commercial Finance.
You are highly analytical with a deep understanding of statistical modeling, forecasting, and pricing best practices.
You possess the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies, developing customer value management strategies and promotional tactics that optimise outcomes for subscriptions and circulation.
You have high attention to detail and accuracy, combined with Advanced Excel skills, allowing you to thrive when working with complex environments and data sets.
You have strong collaboration and communication skills, alongside a demonstrated ability to execute and get things done in a rapidly changing environment.
Experience in Subscriptions and/or Media is highly regarded.
