Job family definition: Defines, manages, and evaluates business plans to ensure they are operationally executable against defined strategic objectives. Leads and partners with cross-functional teams to develop short-term (typically less than two years) business plans and supporting data-driven models. Prepares comprehensive implementation tactics, including execution plans, resource allocation plans, follow-up guidelines, assessment, and process accountabilities. Ensures that business activities are aligned with stated plans among different stakeholders. Sets business metrics, evaluates actual performance, and makes recommendations to business leaders on performance target achievement. Develops data-driven analyses to optimize resources and ensure that business plans can be translated into financial value.

Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge of business metrics like P&L, IDC / SO share etc. Successfully operates in HP's most complex disciplines. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees, as needed. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function. Ability to present in C level meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develops recommendations from complex data and business analysis and formulates them into business plans.
• Drives the construction of highly innovative statistical and financial models to analyze new aspects of business performance.
• Establishes the metrics required to measure business performance, and recommends the go-forward strategy to address performance gaps.
• Leads highly complex, time-sensitive competitive / PFV analysis and identifies compelling actionable insights and opportunities for business leaders.
• Staffs and manages cross-functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities.
• Drives all aspects of priority projects and makes final team decisions; develops business plans and proactively identifies new opportunities as partners with client business leaders.
• Develops and drives comprehensive business plan recommendations, based on analysis, emerging trends, and experience.
• Identifies or develops cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions.
• Develops and executes forward-thinking strategies for building and nurturing long-term business relationships.

Skills

• Mastery in advanced excel, powerpoint, BI dashboards. AI usage in job
• Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
• Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches and insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to identify emerging trends from market, competition and industry data, and make clear and compelling business planning recommendations.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in strategy, planning, operations, market research, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
