We are seeking a Compliance Environment Sustainability Officer in Bandung, Indonesia, to manage in implementing environmental and sustainability requirements. Responsibilities include managing environmental plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, liaising with stakeholders, and driving sustainability initiatives. The role involves monitoring environmental performance, conducting audits, and developing strategies for decarbonization and compliance with Indonesia regulation.Job Description
Regulatory Compliance and Enforcement
Permitting and Reporting: Secures and maintains necessary environmental permits (e.g., for air emissions, environmental permit) and prepares mandatory compliance reports through SIMPEL and regulatory body.
Auditing: Conducts regular internal environmental audits and on-site inspections to identify potential hazards or violations.
Law Interpretation: Annually Monitors and interprets local & national regulations to ensure business practices remain current through Enhesa & permit review.
Incident Management: Develops emergency response plans for incidents like chemical spills and manages the investigation and reporting if they occur.
PROPER: Familiar with using SIMPEL as tool for environmental management & having experience in managing proper or properda
Environmental Management and Operations
Waste and Resource Management: Designs and implements programs for waste reduction, recycling, and water conservation.
Pollution Control: Monitors air and water quality, noise levels, and hazardous materials handling to minimize ecological impact.
Impact Assessments (EIAs): Oversees Environmental Impact Assessments for new projects or modifications to existing facilities.
Energy Conservation: Promotes energy efficiency and explores the adoption of renewable energy sources.
Strategic Sustainability and ESG
Strategy Development: Creates sustainability roadmaps that align with business goal and initiate sustainability & environment project.
Carbon Reduction kaizen : Leads the preparation of carbon reduction kaizen event with conducted annually
Stakeholder Engagement: Acts as a liaison between the organization and external entities, including regulators, local communities.
Cultural Transformation: Provides environmental training and education to employees and contractors to foster a culture of responsibility
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Sustainability.
Experience: Having 2–5 years in managing Environment & Sustainability.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of the Waste Water Treatment is mandatory
Familiarity with government portals like SIMPEL and managing PROPER
Certifications:
Preferably BNSP certified for POIPPPU,POPA, or PLB3
Additional certifications in specific ESG or sustainability like SEA certification.
