Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and produce savoury food items, alongside other pastry preparations.

• Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, portion control, and adherence to established standards.

• Assist with the preparation of mise en place and daily production.

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and work areas.

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures in accordance with company and local requirements.

• Ensure proper storage, labeling, dating, and rotation of food items according to established procedures.

• Handle ingredients correctly and efficiently while minimizing food waste.

• Work closely with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to ensure smooth daily operations and timely completion of production.

• Support the team during special events, functions, VIP requirements, and high-volume periods when required.

• Demonstrate an interest and willingness to learn about pastry, bakery, desserts, and related production techniques.

• Assist the pastry team with basic pastry and bakery tasks when required and under appropriate supervision.

• Develop knowledge of pastry ingredients, equipment, techniques, and standards while maintaining primary responsibility for savoury food production.

• Maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative attitude and contribute to a strong team environment.

• Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or Pastry Chef.
