Join the ABC Fine Wine & Spirit team! You will drive a company-owned truck from our Orlando warehouse to some of our 125+ stores in the state of Florida.

HOME EVERY NIGHT! All routes in the state of Florida; no interstate travel required. Enjoy weekends at home with your family and friends. You will work a Sunday - Wednesday  schedule, a four-day workweek, with three days off in a row. There may be some additional on-call shifts as needed. 

Note: All candidates must have their CDL Class A License.  Driving experience is also required.  Please note:  most of our truck fleet are manual trucks; please be sure you are licensed to drive a manual transmission vehicle before applying

Specific Job Responsibilities

• Prepare for deliveries by checking the warehouse distribution schedule and planning the most efficient route for travel to designated stores
• Conduct a pre-trip inspection of the delivery truck, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order before beginning travel
• Effectively utilize map or navigation technology to travel to designated stores and locations in a timely manner
• Utilize our “eLog” app to create, review, and certify daily driver logs
• Safely travel to designated locations, following all road rules and regulations
• Check and sign delivery invoices or any overage/shortage paperwork with Store or Assistant Manager upon arrival, to confirm successful delivery
• Assist store team members with unloading all merchandise and product from the truck and transporting to the store’s stock room
• Utilize pallet jacks and trailer lift gates as needed
• Offer exceptional guest service and assistance to store team members and guests when required
• Conduct a post-trip inspection of the delivery truck, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order, upon return to the Warehouse Distribution Center
• Ensure truck is clean and in working order on an ongoing basis
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Warehouse Responsibilities – All Employees

• Follow all ABC safety protocols
• Promptly report and clean up spills, breakage, or other issues
• Lift 35-50-pound cases
• Maintain minimum productivity standards
• Assemble boxes if needed
• Clean, sanitize, and keep warehouse tidy
• Prepare work area for next day
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements - Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education

• At least 2 years of direct experience driving a Class A truck to transport merchandise to stores, or other truck driving experience that correlates to the retail environment
• Must have a current, valid CDL Class A license
• Must be certified to drive a manual vehicle as part of the Class A license - no exceptions
• FMCSA medical certification is required
• Candidate must have a positive motor vehicle report without infractions
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Solid written communication skills to write routine reports and correspondence
• Should be able to speak clearly and effectively to individuals and groups of team members, colleagues, and customers
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
• Experienced in carrying out instructions from written, oral, or diagram form
• Deals with potential challenges or problems quickly and effectively
• Other job-related training and/or certification is a plus.

Warehouse Requirements – All Employees

• 19 years of age or older
• Must pass both drug and background checks prior to starting work
• Must speak and understand job-level English
• Have a positive teamwork attitude
• Is reliable and trust-worthy

Physical Requirements - With or Without Accommodations

• Must be able to drive a truck including all physical motions involved
• Must have visual acuity and wear corrective lenses or glasses if required for good vision.  Vision requirements include close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are needed
• Must be able to sit in a vehicle for long periods of time while driving 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of product
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms for product and use hands to work with and feel product
• Able to move body to access products that are out of reach above or below body level
• Sense of smell occasionally needed to find damages that may not be visible

Work Environment

• The employee will spend a great deal of time in a moving vehicle.
• The employee may be driving in daylight or night darkness, and possibly in weather-inclement conditions.
• ABC's company trucks are climate-controlled.
• During deliveries, drivers will encounter all possible Florida weather conditions, and will move between climate-controlled space to outdoor space in frequent succession.
• When working at the warehouse, will experience frequent humid conditions: the warehouse is not temperature-controlled. Fans are provided.
• Moving mechanical parts are frequently used.
• The employee is frequently exposed to working in high, precarious places (greater than 6ft).
• There is occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
