Commercial Account Handler- SME

Campion Insurance is one of the largest insurance brokers in Ireland. We provide our clients with solutions to all their insurance needs ranging from home and motor insurance, to complex commercial business packages. We also provide a full range of health, life, pension, investment and mortgage products.

About the Job

You will be responsible for maintaining a book of renewals as well as developing and growing an existing commercial insurance client portfolio, capable of delivering significant account growth whilst being comfortable operating in a fully compliant environment.

This role is suited to a positive and pro-active self-starter who is willing to build their account. Hard-work, determination and commitment will ensure your success within this role.

Your Responsibilities

• Completing pre renewal document on upcoming renewals with clients to assess & discuss any changes necessary to their policy
• Request renewal terms from insurers, rebroke to alternative insurers if necessary, post terms to the system and issue renewal notice to the client
• Follow up and issue reminders on any upcoming renewals
• Negotiating premium with both insurers and insureds
• Finalising renewals with both insurers and insureds
• Accepting payments & processing same on system
• Reviewing carefully & issuing policy documents to insureds
• Continuously working towards achieving renewal target
• Updating reports
• Dealing with client queries by phone, e-mail & face to face
• Ensuring that you are documenting all communications with clients & insurers on the system in a clear and timely manner
• Working on new business leads to achieve new business targets
• Generating leads for financial services team
• Following up on outstanding premiums & managing aged debt
• Adhering to company policies & procedures
• Carrying out all tasks in line with compliance requirements & timelines
• Achieve monthly new business and renewals targets.
• Become an expert in your target area.
• Upselling and cross selling at all relevant opportunities
• Keeping up to date with trends to ensure that you stay an expert in your market
• Delivering excellent customer service and helpful advice to customers
• Have a focus on the market and competitor insight
