Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment to produce precision components that meet customer and quality requirements. Operators follow established work instructions, perform inspections, record production data, and work closely with Production and Quality to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
Candidates may be considered for a variety of machine operator positions based on their experience, technical skills, and business needs.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
Follow work instructions, blueprints, travelers, and manufacturing documentation.
Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
Record production and quality information in ProShop ERP.
Monitor machine performance and report equipment or quality issues.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to meet production schedules.
Participate in training and continuously develop manufacturing skills.
Qualifications
We're interested in candidates at all experience levels.
Qualifications may include:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Manufacturing or CNC machining experience preferred but not required.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to read and follow work instructions.
Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments is preferred for more advanced roles.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to use hands and arms to operate machinery and handle materials.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
