We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on expertise designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions. In this role, you will work directly with enterprise clients to architect scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments that align with their technical needs and business objectives.

You will support clients across their full cloud journey, from discovery and assessment through implementation, optimization, and knowledge transfer. This role blends deep AWS technical capability with strong communication, collaboration, and delivery skills.

What you will do

Architecture and solution design

• Design and implement scalable, secure AWS architectures based on client requirements.

• Assess current-state environments and propose effective cloud migration strategies.

• Build patterns and frameworks to support repeatable, high-quality delivery.

• Modernize legacy IaC codebases into well-structured CDK modules using AI-assisted tooling across large-scale platform engineering organizations.

Project delivery and technical leadership

• Lead implementation of AWS services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, databases, and serverless.

• Troubleshoot issues during delivery and guide teams in operational best practices.

• Ensure performance, reliability, and security across deployed solutions.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated infrastructure delivery and continuous integration workflows.

• Work within large platform engineering organizations, managing infrastructure at scale with EKS and containerized workloads.

Client engagement and advisory

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solution designs.

• Act as a trusted advisor on cloud strategy, modernization options, and industry trends.

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Knowledge sharing and internal contribution

• Mentor team members and contribute to internal learning initiatives.

• Develop documentation, reusable assets, templates, and best practices for future projects.

• Promote continuous improvement within Solvd's Cloud Engineering practice.

Basic qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Strong TypeScript proficiency, with demonstrated experience using it in infrastructure or platform engineering contexts.

• Hands-on experience with AWS CDK and/or CloudFormation as primary IaC tools.

Preferred qualifications

• Hands-on experience across AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation.

• AWS professional certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional.

• Experience with automation and IaC tools such as Terraform or scripting with Python.

• Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements including HIPAA or GDPR.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both business and technical stakeholders.

• Experience with Amazon EKS and container orchestration in production environments.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling applied to infrastructure or code migration tasks.

• Prior exposure to large-scale IaC refactoring or modernization initiatives.
