Summary
The Client Service Associate acts as a liaison between client, portfolio manager, custodian, and the operations and reconciliation departments. This role helps ensure account activity is completed accurately and timely while supporting account administration, cash management, reporting, and client meeting preparation.
Responsibilities
- Respond to client requests and inquiries promptly, professionally, and through resolution.
- Coordinate the opening, maintenance, transfer, and closure of client accounts, ensuring required information and documentation are complete.
- Review account activity and performance, including cash inflows and outflows, and investigate and escalate discrepancies as appropriate.
- Monitor asset allocation, cash balances, overdrafts, and investments; identify exceptions and coordinate follow-up with the appropriate teams.
- Coordinate cash management activities and communicate status, timing, and required actions to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and complete client permanent files and related account records in accordance with firm procedures.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, custodians, and operations and reconciliation teams to resolve account and reporting issues.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports, ensuring information is accurate and delivered on schedule.
- Prepare for client meetings by compiling relevant account information and materials, and track and follow up on resulting action items.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2 years of relevant industry experience; managed account experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work under time constraints while meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate and perform efficiently and professionally in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn about the financial industry, including the firm’s philosophies and investment strategies, and to continuously improve processes, technology, and organizational practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
This role is based in our Winter Park, FL office on a hybrid schedule - 4 days per week in-office, 1 day per week remote.
