Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Advocacy team at Marsh. This role will be based in Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Claims Advocate

This is a 12-to-14-month contract opportunity to provide parental leave cover and support the wider Advocacy team, including Cyber, FINPRO and Construction. As a Claims Advocate, you will be client and insurer facing, on complex claims matters, support data collection and case management and assist senior claims and broking leaders across a range of advocacy work. The role offers scope to develop your capability in cyber, other specialties and insurance claims within a collaborative team environment.

We will count on you to:

• Support the management of claims matters, including claims data collection, documentation review, and coordination of key information

• Work closely with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders to progress claims and provide timely updates

• Assist senior claims and broking leaders with advocacy work across Cyber, FINPRO, and Construction matters as required

• Contribute to policy interpretation and claims strategy and help identify next steps, escalation points, and potential risks

• Maintain accurate records and support case management to ensure claims are handled efficiently and consistently

What you need to have:

• Legal Qualification strongly preferred

• Experience in an insurance firm, cyber incident management firm, or claims handling role with an insurer or broker

• A well-developed understanding of insurance claims management, particularly if your background is in claims handling

• Ability to work autonomously, use initiative, and manage competing priorities with accuracy and care
