The role in a nutshell:

We are looking for a China Content and Social Marketing Specialist to strengthen Safeguard Global’s brand presence among Chinese companies expanding internationally. Reporting to the APAC Marketing Lead, you will own the China content calendar and create engaging, locally relevant Chinese-language content across WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, the Safeguard Global website and other relevant channels. You will turn global workforce, employment, compliance and international expansion topics into clear, practical content for Chinese business and HR audiences. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond translation—you will localize global content, develop original market-relevant stories, manage channel strategy and use performance insights to improve content and engagement.

How you will make a difference:

• Develop and manage the China content strategy and editorial calendar in line with business and marketing priorities.
• Create and edit high-quality Chinese content, including thought leadership, regulatory updates, country guides, case studies, interviews, campaign content and social posts.
• Monitor global employment, labour, payroll and regulatory developments and translate complex topics into clear, practical insights for Chinese audiences.
• Manage and coordinate content across WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, the corporate website and other relevant platforms, adapting content to each channel and audience.
• Localize global content by adding relevant Chinese-market context, examples and perspectives rather than relying on direct translation.
• Support partner campaigns, paid initiatives, events and sales-enablement activities with relevant content and communications.
• Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts, marketing, sales and external partners to develop impactful content.
• Ensure Chinese-language content meets Safeguard Global’s brand, messaging, quality and editorial standards.
• Track content and social media performance and use insights to improve topics, formats and distribution.

What will give you an advantage:

• 3–5 years’ experience in content marketing, social media, marketing communications, journalism or a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or a related field.
• Native-level Simplified Chinese writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Hands-on experience creating content for WeChat and a strong understanding of the Chinese digital/social media landscape.
• Ability to turn complex business, regulatory or technical topics into clear and engaging content.
• Experience creating a range of content formats, including articles, social posts, case studies, interviews and campaign content.
• Strong research, fact-checking and editorial skills.
• Experience localizing global content for Chinese audiences and adapting content based on local market needs.
• Working proficiency in English to collaborate with global teams and work with English-language source material.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Basic understanding of content performance metrics and social media analytics.
• B2B or professional services experience preferred. Experience in HR services, global employment, payroll, compliance, SaaS or international business would be an advantage.
