eBay Bengaluru is looking for an experienced, motivated, highly organized, and adaptable individual with a consistent record as chief of staff and a strong background as technical program manager to join the eBay Bengaluru Innovation hub to help define and drive the eBay Bengaluru vision, establish strong operational approach and lead TPM organization.

Your objective is to define the eBay Bengaluru vision and roadmap, as well as build and drive the Organizational Operating System. You will be the force multiplier who ensures the organization is highly aligned and comes true to its vision. You will ensure our site strategy, multi-million dollar financial allocations, and technical roadmaps are synchronized and optimized. You aren't here to facilitate the process—you are here to own and evolve it.

The Responsibilities

 1. Define and own ebay Bengaluru vision and roadmap

• eBay Bengaluru vision and mission: Take ownership of eBay Bengaluru vision, establish long term roadmap and YoY goals to achieve the vision.

• Success Metrics: Collaborate to define success metrics and operationalize operational rigor to track, manage progress towards goals.

• eBay Bengaluru Initiatives: Drive various eBay Bengaluru initiatives which helps establish the innovation attitude rooted in eBay culture. Establish engineering and operational excellence and drive AI transformation across the organization. 

2. Establish Financial and site operations governance: 

• Site governance: Own and establish metrics and goals across people and site operational metrics and establish weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews and executive updates.

• Financial governance: Collaborate with the finance leadership to establish financial controls and operationalize compliance.

• return on investment Analysis: Develop standardized tracking for the business impact of our investments, providing the eBay Bengaluru GM and team members  with a clear "Value-per-Dollar" view of our cloud and platform spend.

3. Technical Program Management: 

• Establish TPM function in eBay Bengaluru: Own the responsibility to define the TPM org in Bengaluru with clear expectations, ways of working, culture and hiring bar, demonstrating standard methodologies across eBay.

• Accountable to project management and deliver impact: Own and drive various large and sophisticated technical projects spanning cross organization and cross geographies. Own and drive various initiatives for continuous upskilling and AI transformation in what we do and how we do. 

4. Operational Excellence & Reliability

• Value Stream Mapping: Apply Lean methodologies to visualize our engineering workflows. You will proactively detect bottlenecks, identify "waste" in our processes, and implement systemic fixes to increase engineering velocity.

• Engineering/Product Excellence: Collaborate with team members to establish common standards for engineering and operational excellence, including roadmap and project management, establish mechanisms to ensure the team is operating with high bar and as a one integrated eBay team.

• Incident Analytics & Post-Mortems: Design and implement a rigorous framework for post-incident review and operational hardening. You will translate technical failures into structural process improvements, ensuring MTTR/MMTD trends toward organizational goals.

• The "Pareto" Lens: Use data to diagnose organizational friction. You will identify the "vital few" issues (20%) that are responsible for the majority (80%) of the drag on our teams and implement plans to clear them.

5. Data Mastery & AI Acceleration

• AI-Native Operations: Leverage AI capabilities and LLMs to move at a 10x pace. You will use AI to analyze large datasets, synthesize complex briefings, and automate the operational overhead of the VP's office.

• Data Munging & Reporting: You are a "Spreadsheet Architect." You will create complex, multi-source spreadsheets to munge data into standardized tracking systems for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR).

• Automated Reporting: Build the machine that reports on the metrics that matter, ensuring the VP has immediate, self-service insight into organizational health.

6. Executive Synthesis & Translation

• Technical Translation: You possess the rare ability to simplify "deep-stack" engineering concepts (Cloud, Frameworks, Infrastructure) into strategic business narratives for non-technical executives.

• High-Fidelity Artifacts: Whether it is a Board-level slide deck, a complex financial graph, or a concise strategy document, your output is "camera-ready" and drives immediate executive decision-making.

Who You Are

• 15+ years of experience at high scale, fast moving tech company. You are ready to step into a Head of Business Operations role.

• Quantitatively Elite: You are dangerous in Excel and data visualization. You view the organization through the lens of data, and you have the technical skill to work with the data yourself.

• Technically Grounded: You have been an engineer in the past and continue to operate with an engineering approach. You can hold your own in a deep-dive with Principal Engineers.

• A High-Velocity Closer: you don't just identify problems; you build the systems that prevent them from recurring.
