About the role:
This is a great opportunity for a Chef aiming to restore their work life balance and gain employment in one of Australia’s fastest growing industries with the following tasks:
Prepare, cook and serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus on food safety standards
Support senior hospitality staff members with menu design and implementation
Promote quality standards and maintain service with standard operating procedures
Role requirements:
As a Chef, you’ll take pride in your presentation, be knowledgeable in relation to nutrition and have a keen interest on the impact of dietary requirements on our aged residents.
You will have proven experience in safe food preparation, storage and delivery, a clear understanding of WHS, be confident in medium-high volume meal preparation and demonstrate the following:
Hold a relevant trade qualification, eg. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Australia) or above
Have 3 years minimum experience as a qualified Chef
Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
Understanding of Australian food and beverage standards
Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
