Job DescriptionScope of Position The Department of Nutrition Services administers quality nutritional care and food service operations for all the patients, personnel, and visitors in the OSU hospitals in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The Department coordinates activities to enhance patient and staff satisfaction.Position Summary The Sales Assistant provides basic point-of-sale customer and inventory assistance for a retail or sales operation of the university (e.g., customer service, cashiering, cleaning, displaying, stocking merchandise on the retail floor). This position in Nutrition Services is responsible for cash and non-cash transactions for goods and services purchases through the Seasons Cafeteria.Minimum Education RequiredPer Classified Civil Svc SpecsRequired QualificationsSix months experience (600 hrs. coursework) in customer service, preferably in a sales/retail environment; 6 mos. experience (600 hrs coursework) in record keeping; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
