Job Description:

*HS Diploma/GED required.*

*Minimum 3 years related experience in commercial arena that would be reflective to the healthcare environment.*

*Valid Nebraska driver's license required.*

1. Adheres to Mary Lanning Healthcare’s Mission, Vision and Values.

3. Studies/reads blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, work orders, repair request, etc., pertaining to work activities in order to understand type of materials required to do the job.

4. Selects specific type of materials/supplies needed; measures / marks materials according to specifications; cuts / shapes materials to specifications; assembles materials using various fasteners (nails, screws, dowels, glue, etc.) to construct items as required.

5. Fits, installs and / or repairs building fixtures/structures associated with various construction and renovation work assignments including: doors, door frames, door closures, windows, stud walls/ drywall, suspended ceilings, weather stripping, interior/exterior trim, cabinets / casework, and laminates formica.

6. Maintains locks, locking devices and egress hardware; works on door operators and associated devices.

7. Occasionally assists painter in paint and wall covering projects.

8. Erects scaffolding and ladders for doing work above ground level as needed.

9. Maintains inventory of supplies and materials as needed.

10. Conducts routine maintenance work assignments and assists with other varied projects as assigned, and during inclement / winter weather seasons.

11. Coordinates with outside contractors work needed and coordinates the efforts which are necessary to perform assigned duties.

12. Coordinates the efforts and schedules work assignments and projects that are associated with properties that are the responsibility of MLMH.

13. Attends and participates in departmental meetings/in-services, Mary Lanning Healthcare quality improvement program, etc.

14. Performs other duties as assigned.
