Location: Havering Court Care Home, Havering Road, Romford RM1 4YW

Contract: Permanent – Full Time Time

Hours: 44 hours per week, days, including alternate weekends

Salary: £12.75 to £13.75 per hour depending on experience

CQC rating: Good

Experience in a complex care environment with clinical experience would be ideal for this home. 

About Havering Court

Havering Court delivers 24-hour care for those joining them for short stays and long-term nursing, residential and rehabilitation care.

Havering Court is set in a peaceful, woodland setting, off the main road. The home has good transport links with a regular bus route stopping directly outside the home, not to mention easy access to the A12/ M25.

Havering Court has comfortable ensuite bedrooms and well-furnished lounge areas where residents can relax and socialise. The home benefits from lots of outside space for family and friends to use whenever they come to visit.

There’s a real sense of community at Havering Court. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests.

There’s never a dull moment, the care home puts on lots of activities that everyone can join in with if they wish and the activities are just as much fun for staff as it is for residents.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. Soon after a resident arrives at Havering Court, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
