Your part in our Buderim Hospital team

As a Cardiac Radiographer within the Cath Lab, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.  You will:

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Be responsible for operating advanced fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging equipment to support procedures such as coronary angiograms, angioplasties, pacemaker insertions, structural heart interventions, and vascular studies.
• You will ensure the delivery of precise, real-time imaging to assist cardiologists and vascular surgeons in decision-making and patient care.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols, clinical governance, and quality assurance standards is essential.
• Provide patient preparation and support, image acquisition and archiving, and equipment troubleshooting.
• This position requires strong technical proficiency, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

What makes a difference for us?

• Bachelor of Applied Science - Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
• Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
• 2+ years experience as a Radiographer
• Prior experience in a Cath Lab, vascular or interventional radiology is highly valued, though training opportunities may be available for motivated candidates.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in interventional radiography particularly cardiac, vascular and pain desirable
• Possess a licence to use irradiating apparatus
• Experience using Siemens and/or Phillips equipment
• Ability to work flexible hours on an ‘on-call’ roster
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
