Schedule
Weekend Shift
- Friday - Sunday
- 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- 36 hours worked, paid for 40 hours
Training will take place during weekday hours. Flexible training schedules are available to accommodate individual availability.
What You'll Do
As a Canning Line Operator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain high-speed canning line equipment, including fillers, seamers, packaging equipment, and shrink wrappers
- Monitor production performance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
- Quickly identify and respond to equipment issues and production interruptions
- Communicate mechanical concerns to Maintenance as needed
- Follow all safety requirements, GMPs, sanitation procedures, and quality standards
- Support production needs through overtime when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of machine operation and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Proven reliability, accountability, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work additional hours when business needs require
Critical Success Factor
This position requires a strong sense of urgency and constant attention to equipment performance. Even minor machine faults or slowdowns can impact the entire production line. Successful candidates are proactive, attentive, and quick to address issues before they affect production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food, beverage, bottling, canning, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and quality standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift
- Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work around production equipment
- Frequent use of hands and arms to operate machinery, controls, and tools
Compensation & Benefits
Pay
- Starting pay of $20.00+ per hour
- Higher starting rates available based on experience and qualifications
- Weekend shift premium
- Paid for 40 hours while working only 36 hours
