Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Technicians to join our team the UAE!
What You'll Be Doing:
Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure the project’s compliance with the given policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
Utilize a CAD workstation and work with BIM Lead, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures, and to ensure timely implementation and completion, for
Understand BIM modeling process and be able to manage all BIM-related activities from project start up to project completion, across the above disciplines.
Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance with company QA/QC process.
Demonstrate good knowledge in content creation and be able to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families.
Apply strong knowledge in LOD requirements.
Use Autodesk Navisworks with experience in clash detection and producing clash reports, including multidisciplinary coordination (Utilities, Roads, Structures, Drainage, MEP, Wet Utilities).
Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Minimum 4 years experience for the mid level and up to 10 years experience for Senior level
Prior MEA/UAE experience in CAD drafting experience in:
Utilities and Wet Utilities
Roads and related infrastructure
Structures (e.g., culverts, retaining walls, minor structures)
MEP coordination within civil works
Drainage systems
Must have software experience in MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Good knowledge in BIM, understanding LOD requirements and BIM processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Software experience of Navisworks is advantageous.
Experience working in a Common Data Environment: ProjectWise, ACC.
