Role Overview
We are looking for a hardworking, well-organised and personable individual to help expand and develop our calling operation. Reform UK communicates with its members, supporters and the wider electorate through a range of channels, including telephone contact. The Call Centre Manager will lead this area of our campaign operation, with a particular focus on the May 2027 local elections, and ensuring that our telephone campaigning is organised, effective and able to operate at scale. Reform UK now has over 2,300 Councillors, and we have the opportunity to increase this number significantly further in May 2027.
The role will include recruiting, coordinating and overseeing our volunteer calling operators, organising and handling sensitive data, and ensuring that the call centre is organised efficiently and professionally. You will be responsible for making sure volunteers are properly briefed, supported and motivated, helping to create an effective team that is willing to return and contribute throughout the local elections campaign and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all sensitive data is handled securely and in accordance with relevant data-protection requirements.
- Monitor calling activity and volunteer performance, ensuring callers have the information and resources they need to carry out their roles effectively.
- Provide clear briefings, guidance and ongoing support to volunteer callers.
- Plan and coordinate calling sessions and volunteer capacity to maximise the effectiveness of the operation.
- Provide regular reports to senior staff in the Campaigns Department on progress, performance and any issues requiring attention.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A strong understanding of GDPR, data protection requirements and UK electoral law.
- A personable, positive and approachable manner, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with volunteers.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Due to the nature of this role, the working hours will vary - 09:00 – 17:00, 11:00 – 19:00, 13:00 – 21:00.
