The Business Resilience Manager leads the annual departmental Scenario Analysis programme and Business Continuity/Operational Resilience assurance activities. The role provides relevant disruption scenarios based on the
critical activities stated in departmental Business Continuity Plans, prepares exercise materials, facilitates scenario analysis sessions and tabletop exercises, and performs quality assurance reviews of departmental Business
Continuity Plans and Critical Business Services to confirm completeness, consistency, and alignment with BCM and Operational Resilience requirements. The role is accountable for the quality, timely completion, and effectiveness of
assigned resilience activities; documents outcomes; drives remediation actions through to closure; promotes consistent execution of BCM and Operational Resilience requirements; supports timely management reporting; and
contributes to the continuous enhancement of business continuity and operational resilience capabilities across the organization.

Annual Departmental Scenario Analysis

• Coordinate the annual Scenario Analysis programme across departments, ensuring agreed timelines, participants, templates, and deliverables are completed.

• Design practical and relevant disruption scenarios based on departmental processes, key dependencies, critical activities, and business continuity risks.

• Prepare session guides, scenario injects, attendance records, outcome templates, and supporting materials for scenario analysis workshops

Exercise Facilitation and Tabletop Support

• Facilitate departmental scenario analysis sessions and support BCM tabletop exercises to validate response arrangements, decision-making, escalation, and recovery actions.

• Guide participants through structured discussions, capture key observations, and ensure outcomes are clearly linked to BCP or BC Plan Lite improvements.

• Support post-exercise debriefs and ensure lessons learned are documented in a consistent and auditable manner.

Remediation Tracking and Closure

• Maintain a central tracker of findings, gaps, agreed actions, owners, target dates, risk ratings, and closure status arising from reviews, scenario analysis, and exercises.

• Follow up with action owners to drive timely remediation and escalate overdue or material items to the BCM Lead, relevant management forums, or accountable stakeholders.

• Validate closure evidence and ensure completed actions are reflected in updated BCPs, BC Plan Lites, exercise records, and assurance documentation.

BCM Assurance Support and Reporting

• Support BCM assurance activities by consolidating review results, exercise outcomes, action status, and key risk themes for management reporting.

• Prepare concise reports, dashboards, and management updates covering BCP review progress, scenario analysis completion, remediation status, and recurring issues.

• Maintain complete and accessible records to support internal assurance, audit reviews, governance reporting, and evidence requests. agreed timelines, and intended control or business outcomes, proactively addressing issues that may affect effective completion.

• Resolve routine to moderately complex or non-standard resilience issues by analysing available information, identifying practical options, and applying established BCM and Operational Resilience standards, procedures, precedents, and escalation routes.

• Exercise independent judgment within established guidelines and delegated authority. Escalate to the BCM Lead matters that are material, high-risk, outside approved standards or authority, require policy interpretation or exception, involve significant stakeholder disagreement, or may affect regulatory,

customer, operational, or reputational outcomes.

Third-Party Business Continuity Review Support

• Support the review of third-party business continuity arrangements by coordinating requests, reviewing submitted materials, and identifying continuity-related gaps or follow-up items.

• Coordinate with vendor owners, procurement, risk, and relevant business stakeholders to obtain clarifications and track required remediation actions.

• Escalate material third-party continuity concerns to the BCM Lead for management review and inclusion in relevant reporting.
