Job Purpose

The Business Manager will support Consumer Products Commercialization (CPC) team in developing and implementing both sales and marketing plans to build the brand and franchises, increase awareness, favorability and purchase of Disney entertainment and product offering, and ultimately help accelerate business growth in Hong Kong and Macau. 

The principal role of the position includes driving sales target and implementing specific marketing programs that are aligned with the agreed strategies for the responsible franchise with business teams.  This requires working closely with all Business Units and corporate functions, while keeping abreast of the market landscape and development. 

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales target and implement marketing plans for CPC to build equity and sales of responsible franchises
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive synergy, marketing and consumer messaging for all franchises across TWDC divisions.
• Maximize key sales, marketing and promotional partnerships by identifying multiple business opportunities across the team and IP portfolio.
• Develop customized sales and marketing materials including pitch kits, sell-sheets and sizzles and video content.
• Work with divisional and corporate research teams to ensure CPC-Hong Kong has the appropriate metrics, analytics and consumer insights to make effective strategic decisions to drive brand and franchise growth in each market.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field in top university

Experience:

• 6 years+ experience in sales, brand development, promotions in multi-national fortune 100 companies or leading regional IP companies
• Strong sales track record
• Experience working in driving cross border or import business
• Strong network with leading retail chains and/or e-commerce platforms or advertising agencies is preferred.

• A mature, self-motivated manager who is also able to successfully implement multiple initiatives, driving results for the company.  The candidate must have a strong “partnership” mindset in working with others. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the following:
  • Sales and numeric savvy and strong sense of entrepreneurship
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills: multi-task or manage several projects concurrently with minimum supervision
  • Outstanding sales and presentation skills: strong ability to provide a business or partnership solution
  • Great knowledge in HK, Greater China or regional consumer trends
  • Professionalism and integrity, a team player, perform well under pressure

Other Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written English and Cantonese and Mandarin communication skills
• Strong project management across multiple marketing disciplines including consumer marketing, promotions, sponsorships, publicity, special & live events.
• Demonstrated success in building relationships across all levels of an organization (Executive through Managerial).
• Drives results through consensus building, teamwork, and identifying common goals.
• Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, digital media editing)
