Job Summary:
The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving sales, customer success and revenue dashboards to provide real-time insights into business performance. The role involves presenting findings executives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing data-driven recommendations. The Business Data Analyst will also play an essential role in training and upskilling internal stakeholders, ensuring the broader organization can leverage data effectively in decision-making.

What You Will Do:
- Provide each area of the business the support to manage internal processes, analytics and numerical functionality.
- You will build new projects and maintain existing systems in a team environment, ensuring stability and long-term maintainability.
- You will produce regular reports and conduct ad-hoc analysis in Excel; you will build and maintain dashboards in Power BI.
- You will communicate progress and coordinate efforts with sales, client success, and engineering.
- You will contribute to the modelling of internal web applications that will support operational processes and strategic initiatives. If applicable, you may also take part in the development efforts of our internal platform directly.
- You will be fully engaged in an on-site environment in Victoria, BC, contributing to close collaboration and strong team culture.

Requirements
About You:
- You are an experienced and enthusiastic analytical thinker.
- You have previously worked, either through an internship or full-time permanent employment, as a business data analyst (or equivalent).
- You can collaborate closely with team leads and C-Suite executives to build a rich understanding of sales performance, client behaviour and financial reporting.
- You have excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- You have a bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, data science, economics, philosophy or a related field. Extensive experience and demonstrated competency will be considered equivalent.
- You have very strong Excel skills with several years of applied experience. This will be tested as part of the interview process and is non-negotiable. Historically, we have encountered many applicants that try to bluff their way through the technical Excel assessment. Please do not apply if you do not have strong Excel skills.
- You ideally have experience with programming beyond writing queries or scripts.
