Brightwaters Christian College is part of Christian Education Ministries (CEM), a protestant non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish and be a positive influence on the world around them. Brightwaters Christian College is located on the beautiful western shores of Lake Macquarie and caters for K-9 (and have NESA approval for Year 10 in 2025). The College is a co-ed, Christian school that is blessed with a spacious and modern campus. While the school community is smaller, the learning culture is strong and the potential to grow the school great.

About the Role

An opportunity exists to work in a committed Christian team as a bus driver. This part-time position (28 hours per fortnight) is during school term times only and is before and after school. There is also a casual option for this role.

This position is expected to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes.
• Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, building strong relationships with our students.
• Adhere to the allocated schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
• Maintain a clean and tidy bus interior, promoting a comfortable and welcoming environment for students.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the bus.
• Safely load and unload students at designated stops, ensuring their well-being and maintaining order.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• A genuine person with a passion for working with children.
• Valid driver's licence (or willingness to obtain MR driver's licence, with costs covered by Brightwaters Christian College).
• Excellent driving record and commitment to passenger safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability and punctuality to ensure timely transportation.
