Branch Manager Responsibilities:
· Directs and monitors all dealership management or supervisory personnel functions and completes formal performance evaluations of all department managers at regularly scheduled intervals.
· Plans dealership operations for the coming year and submits to the area and corporate management for approval.
· Meets with managers individually to develop weekly, monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance.
· Communicates management policies and procedures to all employees and ensures that they are understood and followed.
· Ensures that the monthly financial statement is complete, accurate, and submitted on time to the factory.
· Coordinates with the region to ensure that records and analyses are maintained accurately.
· Hires, trains, and motivates all dealership department managers.
· Provides enthusiastic leadership to help shape employees' attitudes and build morale.
· Reviews and approves compensation plans for all employees.
· Develops merchandising strategies and assists in creating effective, cost-efficient advertising programs.
· Resolves any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify.
· Makes sure that departments hold to budgeted revenue and expense objectives.
· Authorizes all major departmental expenditures.
· Maintain records, controls and requests reports from others within dealership to assess dealership performance.
· Handles customer complaints sensibly, showing empathy and a constructive attitude.
· Attends company meetings as required
· Leads and manages other in an exemplary and professional manner.
Branch Manager Requirements and Abilities:
· Ability to hire personnel required to meet departmental and organizational goals
· Ability to manage, including discipline personnel as required to meet departmental and organizational goals
· Ability to effectively lead a team to achieve departmental and organizational goals
· Ability to demonstrate proper sales techniques to employee in accordance with generally accepted standards and company policy
· Ability to read and comprehend financial statements.
· Ability to understands, keeps abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that impact retail automotive sales
· Computer proficiency
· Good communication skills both oral and written with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication.
· Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Ability to interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale of department, dealership and organization
Required Education and Experience
Associate's degree (AA.) or equivalent degree in business preferred
Two to four years related dealership sales or supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
