Branch Manager | Fort Pierce, Florida
$70,000 Base Salary + $30,000 Annual Incentive Opportunity
Gateway Dealer Network recently expanded into Florida through the acquisition of Smith Brothers Equipment, an established construction equipment dealer with four South Florida locations. We are looking for a hands-on Branch Manager to lead our Fort Pierce operation and continue building on the relationships, people, and reputation already established in the Treasure Coast market.
This position oversees a growing dealership location with approximately seven employees and an annual revenue plan exceeding $7 million. The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall success of the operation, including customer relationships, financial performance, employee development, and branch growth.
This is not a regional or multi-location management role. It is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys being close to the business, knows customers by name, supports employees directly, and takes ownership of local results.
The successful candidate will have the support, resources, and stability of one of the nation's largest Bobcat dealer organizations while maintaining the responsiveness and customer focus of a local business.
Compensation & Schedule
- $70,000 annual base salary
- $30,000 or more annual incentive opportunity based on branch performance
- Target total cash compensation of $100,000+ for strong branch performance
- Monday through Friday, generally 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Comprehensive benefits package
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid holidays and vacation
About the Opportunity
The Fort Pierce branch is a smaller operation with significant growth potential. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a visible leadership presence, working directly with customers and employees, and having a direct impact on business performance.
Unlike larger dealership management roles that may focus primarily on administration, this position requires a leader who is comfortable moving between the office, sales activities, parts department, service shop, and customer jobsites. Success comes from understanding the operation, supporting the team, and driving results through relationships and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the branch across sales, service, parts, rental, and administration
- Build and maintain a culture focused on customer service, teamwork, accountability, and safety
- Coach employees, establish clear expectations, and support their development
- Develop and strengthen relationships with contractors, equipment owners, municipalities, rental companies, and other customers throughout the Treasure Coast market
- Drive branch growth through increased market share, customer retention, and operational excellence
- Manage branch profitability, expenses, inventory, and other key performance measures
- Partner with sales personnel to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Resolve customer and employee concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional facility
- Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership while taking ownership of local business results
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a practical leader who enjoys being actively involved in the business and understands that strong branch performance starts with strong customer and employee relationships.
Qualified candidates should have:
- Three or more years of management experience with operational and financial responsibility
- Experience in construction equipment, heavy equipment, truck, automotive, rental, industrial service, or a similar industry
- Experience leading employees across multiple functions
- Strong business acumen and a working knowledge of budgets, financial statements, and key performance indicators
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to prioritize competing demands and consistently follow through
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and business management systems
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
This Position May Be a Strong Fit For:
- Service Managers seeking broader leadership responsibility
- Operations Managers looking to run an entire business unit
- Assistant Branch Managers ready for the next step
- Dealership leaders who enjoy hands-on management and customer interaction
- Small business owners seeking the support and resources of a larger organization
