As a Beverage Server, you’ll deliver outstanding beverage service across restaurants, lounges, bars, pool areas, banquets, and event spaces while helping create a fun, welcoming, and elevated guest experience.

What you’ll be doing
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive beverage service to guests across restaurants, bars, lounges, pool areas, banquets, and events.
- Take beverage orders accurately and deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation and service standards.
- Maintain strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, specialty beverages, and menu offerings to assist guests with recommendations.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond quickly and professionally to guest requests or concerns.
- Process guest orders, payments, and transactions accurately using POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across beverage stations, service areas, bars, and guest-facing spaces.
- Support opening and closing duties, restocking, side work, inventory support, and operational setup tasks.
- Follow responsible alcohol service standards, food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and hotel operational policies at all times.
- Partner closely with Bartenders, Servers, Culinary teams, Banquets, and Food & Beverage leadership to support smooth daily operations.
- Assist with banquet functions, special events, pool service, and high-volume hospitality operations as needed.
- Help create a welcoming, energetic, and guest-focused atmosphere aligned with Sonesta’s People People culture.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What great looks like
- Previous beverage service, restaurant, bar, hospitality, hotel, banquet, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills with a friendly and engaging personality.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of beverage service, cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service practices preferred.
- Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately preferred.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, presentation, and guest experience standards.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event support as needed.
- Food Handler Certification, TIPS Certification, or alcohol service certification preferred where required.
- A passion for hospitality, teamwork, guest engagement, and creating memorable food & beverage experiences.
