What you will have an opportunity to do:

The dynamic Bellman will be responsible for delivering warm, professional, and personalized service at the main entrance of our luxury Resort. This guest-facing role serves as the first and last impression for arriving and departing guests, assisting with luggage, providing knowledgeable information about the property and island, actively upselling hotel services, and maintaining a polished, welcoming environment in line with Westin brand standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•    Open vehicle doors courteously and professionally at the main entrance; assist guests with unloading luggage, packages, and personal items in a safe and efficient manner.
•    Extend a warm, sincere welcome and genuine appreciation to every guest, patron, and visitor with a friendly greeting, eye contact, and positive demeanor.
•    Maintain in-depth knowledge of the hotel’s facilities, room types, amenities, dining options, events, promotions, and local Grand Cayman attractions; actively upsell appropriate services, upgrades, packages, and experiences to maximize revenue during every guest interaction.
•    Ensure the bell desk, entrance area, porte-cochère, and surrounding public spaces remain spotless, organized, and presentable at all times through regular cleaning, tidying, and removal of debris.
•    Distribute newspapers, welcome amenities, or informational materials to long-stay guests and relevant departments as directed. 
•    Present a polished, professional image always through excellent personal grooming, hygiene, and strict adherence to the prescribed uniform and appearance standards.
•    Escort guests to the front desk, elevators, or their rooms when appropriate; provide orientation to hotel facilities and answer basic questions. 
•    Store and retrieve guest luggage securely in the designated bell storage area; tag and track items accurately. Assist with valet coordination, taxi requests, transportation arrangements, and other guest mobility needs. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, inquiries, or special needs encountered at the entrance. Collaborate with Front Office, Concierge, Valet, and other departments to ensure seamless arrivals, departures, and guest satisfaction. 
•    Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as business demands require. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations and perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
 

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a similar bellman, door attendant, concierge, or guest services role in a hotel, resort, or high-end hospitality environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension) – fluency is mandatory as the primary workplace language.
• Outgoing, friendly, and engaging personality with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Strong knowledge of Grand Cayman, including key attractions, beaches, restaurants, activities, transportation options, and local culture.
• Proven physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects (luggage, golf bags, etc.) weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shifts.
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning hotel products, services, and upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and revenue opportunities.
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to remain composed under pressure or during busy periods.
