Our challenge

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lending Business Analyst to support initiatives across commercial and corporate lending platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in Commercial Lending, with Loan IQ or ACBS experience preferred, and a solid understanding of the end-to-end loan lifecycle, syndicated lending, integrations, data flows, and lending operations. The successful candidate will work closely with business, operations, technology, development, and QA teams to define requirements, improve lending workflows, support system enhancements, and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business, regulatory, and technology standards.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $115k – CAD $130k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Work with business, operations and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze and document requirements for Commercial Lending (preferred Loan IQ, ACBS expertise) initiatives.
• Analyze existing Commercial Lending - workflows, configurations, integrations, and data flows and identify required enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with developers, and QA teams throughout design, development, testing and implementation.
• Perform gap analysis, impact assessment and data mapping for Commercial Lending enhancements and integrations.
• Support system integration testing and UAT, including test scenarios, defect analysis and business validation.
• Investigate production issues and coordinate with technology and operations teams on resolution.
• Support upgrades, migrations, conversions, and integration initiatives.
• Ensure solutions align with lending operations, controls, regulatory requirements, and enterprise technology standards.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on functional experience with Commercial Lending (preferred Loan IQ or ACBS expertise)
• Strong understanding of commercial lending, corporate lending, and/or syndicated loans.
• Experience with the end-to-end loan lifecycle, including Origination, Credit Agreement, Credit Line/facility, and loan servicing processes.
• Experience working with data mapping or upstream/downstream systems integrated with Commercial Lending
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• SQL/data analysis experience with good understanding of Data Model and writing complex SQL scripts/queries.

Preferred, but not required:

• Commercial Lending (preferred Loan IQ, ACBS expertise) in migration or conversion experience.
• Experience with syndicated lending, agent-bank processes, payments, accounting, or regulatory reporting.
