Cikarang Skin Factory plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality Beauty & Wellbeing products to consumers across the region. As a dynamic site supporting multiple brands and categories, the successful execution of innovations and product changes is essential to our competitiveness. Ensuring every innovation lands on time, in full, and with uncompromised quality requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and cross‑functional collaboration.
As a key member of the Engineering and Maintenance team, the BW ID Asst. Engineering Manager for Utility and Environment will work closely with Production, Quality, Safety, Planning & Project. Reporting to the Cikarang Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for maintenance, operation and continues improvement in utility area as well as delivering sustainability program for BW and PC in Cikarang Skin Factory.
Main Responsibilities
Ensure the operation of utility plants is fully compliant with applicable legislation, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
Support the planning, scheduling, and prioritization of maintenance activities within the utility plant, building facilities, and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to ensure optimal asset performance.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies and operational excellence initiatives to ensure high energy efficiency and utility cost competitiveness.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across utility operations while supporting sustainability and energy-efficiency programs.
Improve equipment performance by reducing downtime, eliminating minor stops, and enhancing equipment reliability and availability.
Ensure the availability of critical spare parts and consumables while optimizing inventory levels to balance operational reliability and cost efficiency.
Maintain compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying risks, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring safe operation of utility and facility systems.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to utility reliability, maintenance effectiveness, energy consumption, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Experience & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Working knowledge of utility operations and maintenance principles. However, fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Proven ability to manage complex and high-risk operations safely and effectively.
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, field-oriented approach.
Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

High level of communication, technical skill and teamwork
Analytical and sharp with numbers and data
Fluent in business English, with Strong communications skills and ability to engage and influence others.
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a good eye for detail
Stakeholder management, able to build relationship with people across functions, cultures, geographies, and companies
Strong on execution, energetic and be pro-active
Competence in engineering software simulation, Microsoft tools, especially Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI
