Role responsibilities
Production: Assist the engineering team in planning and carrying out vehicle production, including component set-up and configuration.
Purchasing: Assist in preparing requests for quotation (RFQs) and purchase requests, following up with vendors, and managing inventory and packaging.
Quality: Carry out incoming quality checks (QC) and support factory acceptance tests (FATs).
Tools: Assist in building hardware tools, jigs and software tools that speed up production, automate QC, and make maintenance and troubleshooting faster.
Testing: Test and troubleshoot retrofitted vehicles under supervision.
Documentation: Assist in drafting and reviewing work instructions and drawings.
Software: Assist in setting up software configurations for the autonomous driving system.
General support: Provide technical support to the team as needed.
Required Experience
Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of automotive systems and electrical components.
Able to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and a desire to learn about retrofitting processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated and willing to learn, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
Bonus: Basic coding skills (e.g. Python or C++). Using AI coding tools is welcome.
Bonus: Familiarity with the Linux command line.
Bonus: Experience with CAD software.
