Attorney, Anti-Corruption Compliance & Business Integrity

KBR is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Business Integrity team as an Attorney, Anti-Corruption Compliance & Business Integrity. This role supports KBR's global business integrity and anti-corruption compliance programs by providing practical legal and compliance guidance, conducting risk-based due diligence reviews, supporting investigations, administering compliance processes, and helping strengthen KBR's compliance framework.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively across legal, business, finance, procurement, human resources, and compliance functions to identify and mitigate corruption-related risks associated with third-party relationships, business transactions, and global operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple compliance matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Trinzic is being established as an independent public company through the planned separation of KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business, which is expected to be completed on January 4, 2027. This role offers a rare opportunity to join the organization during a pivotal period of growth and transformation, helping build and support employment legal strategies, policies, and practices that will position the company for long-term success while serving critical government and commercial missions around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical legal and compliance guidance regarding anti-corruption, ethics, and business conduct risks, including gifts and hospitality, government interactions, sponsorships, charitable contributions, and conflicts of interest.
  • Conduct third-party due diligence reviews for consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, consortium partners, joint venture partners, and other business relationships in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform risk-based research and screening using approved due diligence tools and databases to identify potential anti-corruption, sanctions, reputational, regulatory, and business integrity risks.
  • Conduct adverse media reviews, sanctions screening, beneficial ownership analysis, politically exposed person (PEP) reviews, litigation searches, and corporate registry research.
  • Analyze due diligence findings, identify potential risk indicators, and prepare recommendations supporting approval, mitigation, monitoring, or escalation decisions.
  • Support internal investigations involving potential violations of anti-corruption laws, company policies, conflicts of interest, fraud, or other ethics and compliance concerns.
  • Track and manage multiple concurrent compliance reviews, investigations, approvals, and remediation activities through completion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records within compliance management and third-party risk platforms.
  • Assist with the development and continuous improvement of compliance policies, procedures, controls, training materials, and governance processes.
  • Monitor developments in anti-corruption laws and regulatory expectations and assist in evaluating potential impacts on company operations.

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 4-7+ years of experience in anti-corruption compliance, corporate compliance, investigations, government contracts, regulatory matters, or related legal practice.
  • Experience supporting third-party due diligence, compliance reviews, risk assessments, investigations, or compliance program activities.
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), UK Bribery Act, and other applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations.

Professional Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to assess risk and identify compliance concerns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Experience utilizing compliance research platforms, sanctions screening tools, adverse media databases, and public records resources.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Practical, business-focused approach to problem solving and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across functions and geographic regions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a multinational corporation, government contractor, law firm, consulting firm, or regulatory agency.
  • Experience supporting international operations and cross-border business activities.
  • Experience utilizing third-party risk management, due diligence, workflow, or case management platforms.
  • Experience conducting enhanced due diligence involving government officials, state-owned enterprises, intermediaries, consultants, consortium partners, and joint venture partners.
  • Experience reviewing anti-corruption and compliance provisions in commercial agreements and strategic business relationships.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
