Role Purpose

As Associate, NPC Relations and Planning, you will join the National Olympic and Paralympic Committee Services (NCS) team, whose work engages, empowers, and supports National Paralympic Committees as they prepare their athletes, officials, and delegations for the Games. Working within the Americas and Europe portfolio, you will be a trusted, client-centered point of contact — cultivating authentic relationships with a group of committees and partnering across LA28 functional areas. You will capture planning needs, monitor the athlete journey, and help deliver the programs and services that welcome each delegation to Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivate trusted, transparent relationships with a portfolio of 15-25 National Paralympic Committees, overseeing timely and clear communications.
• Support the production and distribution of documents and client resources, and manage the client escalation pathway.
• Build cross-functional relationships with 8-10 functional areas and support discovery meetings and planning sessions to capture needs and trends.
• Monitor the athlete journey from touch-down to take-off, validating service levels and tracking progress across NCS and functional-area milestones.
• Support NPC visits and Pre-Games readiness activities, and serve as a Games-time contact in the NCS Service Center.

Required Competencies

• Fluent Spanish, in writing and speaking, to support clear communication with client committees, officials, and delegations.
• Experience living or working within the adaptive community, informing attentive service to Paralympic athletes and delegations.
• 3+ years of experience building client-centered relationships or coordinating multiple stakeholders across a complex, international operating environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage status tracking, reporting tools, and competing milestones across multiple client and functional-area stakeholders.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce accurate documents, policies, and client resources under tight timelines.

Valued Experience

• Familiarity with IOC and IPC guidelines and the NOC/NPC client environment.
• Experience across sport or major international events.
• Exposure to the Olympic and Paralympic Movement.
• A collaborative, service-oriented approach to cross-functional planning.
• Experience supporting workshops, seminars, or operations centers for large-scale events.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
• The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
• The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
• Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
• Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,500 - $82,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
