Associate Mental Health Therapist
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Position Summary
We are looking for an Associate Mental Health Therapist to provide virtual counseling while completing clinical work under licensed supervision. You’ll work directly with clients during scheduled sessions and have regular opportunities to discuss cases, ask questions, and receive guidance as you continue developing as a clinician. This position offers hands-on therapy experience without leaving you to manage difficult situations alone. Supervision is part of the role and provides a place to review cases, work through concerns, and build confidence in your clinical decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling through telehealth
- Complete first appointments and collect relevant client history
- Prepare cases or questions for scheduled supervision
- Incorporate supervisor recommendations into client work
- Complete session notes and other required documentation
- Report urgent or safety-related concerns through the appropriate process
- Communicate with support staff regarding scheduling or client-related matters
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional conduct
- Meet Arkansas requirements applicable to associate-level practice
Requirements
- Graduate degree in an appropriate behavioral health discipline.
- Current state-issued associate, provisional, temporary, intern, candidate, or other supervised-practice credential in counseling, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related mental health discipline.
- Credential must authorize the applicant to provide clinical services under supervision to clients located in CA.
- Ability to work under the supervision required by the applicable licensing board.
