Finance & Strategy (F&S) is BlackRock’s global finance partner, delivering insight-driven analysis and financial discipline to support decision-making, resource allocation, and sustainable growth. Within F&S, Corporate Strategy & Development (CS&D) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) form Strategic Finance, partnering with senior leadership to guide long-term direction, financial performance, and enterprise priorities.

The Aladdin & Tech & Ops FP&A team sits within Strategic Finance, supporting:

• Aladdin – BlackRock’s operating system for managing investment portfolios. Aladdin unites data, technology, and people to enable transparency, risk management, and informed decision-making across the investment lifecycle.
• Technology & Operations (Tech & Ops) – the group responsible for the firm's worldwide operations across all asset classes and geographies.

Position Overview:

This Associate-level role sits within the Technology & Operations FP&A team.  Tech & Ops is the backbone of BlackRock’s global platform — a diverse team of 4,000+ professionals who design, build, and run the systems that support every aspect of our business. From trade execution to client experience, employee enablement to platform innovation, we drive operational excellence across the firm. Within Tech & Ops is our Enterprise Services team, which is responsible for managing corporate Real Estate Services, Enterprise Resilience, Workplace Experience, and Executive Operations to deliver a safe, resilient, high-performance workplace and related services.

This role partners closely with Enterprise Services teams and Finance stakeholders to provide cost reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis. The successful candidate will perform financial analysis, reporting, and governance to support disciplined cost management and delivery against financial targets. This role requires exceptional analytical abilities, a proven track record in financial analysis and a technology and AI forward mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business partner with Enterprise Services teams to ensure accurate expense forecasts, challenge assumptions, and clearly communicate risks and opportunities
• Build and enhance financial forecast models, ensuring they are scalable, well‑structured, and able to support evolving business requirements
• Leverage advanced Excel and analytical tools (including automation and AI) to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance the quality and accessibility of financial insights
• Translate financial results into clear, concise narratives; present outputs to senior management in a simple and actionable manner
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure connectivity across provider performance, strategic initiatives, and new developments
• Proactively identify and deliver improvements in monthly forecasting and reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing consistency
• Participate in team‑wide projects, including financial modelling and ad hoc strategic finance work, to generate incremental insight and support decision‑making
• Partner with Finance teams, including Controllers and Sourcing & Vendor Management, on key deliverables and cross‑functional initiatives

Knowledge and experience requirements:

• Graduate with a 2:1 degree or above
• Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with 4+ years of work experience
• Strong attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy
• Strong financial modelling capability, including building and maintaining robust, scalable forecast models; strong understanding of data structures, drivers-based modelling, and translating complex outputs into clear insights for decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage technology and emerging AI tools to improve financial processes, including automating repetitive tasks, enhancing analysis, or enabling more efficient access to data and insights
• A solutions oriented self-starter who anticipates and prepares for potential problems
• Ability to deliver in fast paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands
• Strong organizational, planning, quantitative and problem solving skills; results driven with strategic and creative thinking

• Advanced Excel and analytical tool proficiency, with experience handling large/complex datasets and applying automation or AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis and reporting. Proficiency with TM1 Cognos a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, who also displays strong interpersonal interactions;
• Display knowledge of accounting and pricing principles

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
