Overview of Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Associate Delivery Manager with a strong Agile and Scrum background to support the successful delivery of customer-facing technology programs across cloud, data, AI, analytics, and application development initiatives.
This role is ideal for professionals with approximately 3+ years of experience who have worked as a Scrum Master, Project Coordinator, Agile Delivery Lead, Technical Project Coordinator, or Associate Project Manager and are looking to grow into broader Delivery Management responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in facilitating Agile delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, removing delivery impediments, and ensuring timely execution of project milestones. You will partner closely with Delivery Managers, Product Owners, Architects, Engineering teams, and customers to deliver high-quality technology solutions while continuously improving Agile maturity and delivery excellence. In addition to supporting larger and more complex programs, you will also have the opportunity to independently manage smaller customer engagements as the Delivery Manager, taking ownership of planning, execution, stakeholder communication, and successful delivery.
Responsibilities
Delivery Coordination
- Support the successful delivery of software, cloud, data, AI, and application development projects.
- Coordinate sprint execution, release planning, project tracking, and delivery milestones.
- Assist Delivery Managers in monitoring project health, risks, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
- Track project progress, team capacity, resource allocation, and delivery metrics.
- Escalate delivery risks and blockers proactively while driving timely resolution.
- Ensure project documentation, governance artifacts, and status reports are maintained accurately.
- Support multiple concurrent Agile projects and distributed engineering teams.
- Independently manage smaller customer engagements as the Delivery Manager, owning end-to-end delivery including planning, execution, stakeholder communication, risk management, and successful project outcomes.
- Balance responsibilities across independently managed engagements while providing delivery support to larger, strategic programs led by senior Delivery Managers.
Agile Delivery & Scrum Leadership
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Coach Scrum teams on Agile principles, Scrum values, and continuous improvement practices.
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy product backlogs and sprint priorities.
- Track sprint progress, velocity, burndown charts, and release readiness.
- Identify delivery bottlenecks and work with teams to remove impediments.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, transparency, and ownership across Agile teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on retrospective outcomes and delivery metrics.
Project Governance & Reporting
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and delivery metrics for stakeholders.
- Monitor sprint health, schedule adherence, defect leakage, resource utilization, and delivery milestones.
- Maintain project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and action trackers.
- Ensure compliance with delivery governance standards and organizational processes.
- Support forecasting activities, release planning, and sprint commitments.
Stakeholder Management
- Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and customer teams.
- Communicate project status, delivery progress, risks, and mitigation plans effectively.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment between business and engineering teams.
- Support customer meetings, sprint demos, governance reviews, and project updates.
- Serve as the primary Delivery Manager and customer point of contact for smaller engagements, ensuring effective stakeholder communication, governance, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a customer-first mindset throughout project execution.
Continuous Improvement
- Promote Agile best practices across delivery teams.
- Encourage knowledge sharing, collaboration, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, predictability, and team productivity.
- Contribute to organizational Agile maturity initiatives.
- Support Delivery Managers in implementing operational excellence initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Coordinator, Associate Project Manager, Delivery Coordinator, or similar role, with demonstrated ability or readiness to independently manage smaller customer engagements.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, Kanban, and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing sprint execution.
- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional software engineering teams.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of Agile metrics including Sprint Velocity, Burndown Charts, Cycle Time, Lead Time, Defect Leakage, Resource Utilization, Schedule Adherence, and Delivery Milestones.
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams within Agile projects.
- Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Exposure to cloud technologies (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure) is preferred.
- Exposure to AI, Data, Analytics, or Application Development projects is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience working in consulting, professional services, or customer-facing organizations.
- Exposure to cloud migration, AI/ML, data modernization, analytics, or digital transformation projects.
- Experience supporting distributed or global engineering teams.
- Familiarity with delivery governance, release management, and Agile reporting.
- Experience independently managing small to mid-sized customer engagements or end-to-end project delivery is preferred.
- Passion for coaching Agile teams and driving continuous improvement.
