Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze business trends and provide findings on underlying factors.
• Keep track of actual financial performance against budget, provide explanations and recommendations.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting process of wholesale banking including budget plan, materials preparation, and communications within BU and with SUs.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc financial analysis / MIS reports to facilitate business planning.
• Review the MIS infrastructure regularly and perform necessary changes as requested by management.
• Support the development of strategic business plans for wholesale banking and monitor the performance with relevant stakeholders.
• Assist to streamline reporting process and automate manual Excel-based MIS reports into SAS platform in order to provide up-to-date information for management.
• Design and prepare performance evaluation/monitoring reports for senior management.
• Implement and maintain data systems on pipeline movements, fundflow forecasts, and cater to ad hoc reports for senior management.
• Implement and maintain financial tracking mechanism and ensure accounting compliance to regulatory authorities and auditors.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business Administration / Finance / Statistics / Accounting or related disciplines.

• Accounting background is preferred.

• Minimum 4-5 years of Business Intelligence / Finance & Accounting experience

• Data modeling and financial analysis experience is essential.

• CPA preferred.

• Proficiency in excel and VBA programming a definite advantage.

• Knowledge of Liquidity Management and regulatory requirements preferred.

• Knowledge in wholesale banking products preferred.
