The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join the Department of Research Administration and Support Services (RASS) at LKCMedicine. The role manages research grant administration across the full grant lifecycle, working with academic faculty members, University offices, external stakeholders and funders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned grant matters across the grant lifecycle from grant calls and proposal submissions to award set-up, variations, reporting and closure, in line with funder and University requirements.

• Review grant budgets, utilisation, expenditure and financial documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.

• Advise faculty members and research teams on funder guidelines, institutional processes, documentation requirements, approval routes and compliance expectations.

• Coordinate with University offices, funders and external stakeholders to resolve grant-related queries, submissions, operational issues and follow-up actions.

• Maintain accurate grant records, trackers and supporting documentation to support management reporting, monitoring, funder reporting and audit readiness.

• Contribute to broader grant operations and team priorities, including process improvement, reporting and cross-coverage of grant matters where required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science or a related discipline.

• Relevant experience in administration, research, grants, finance, compliance or stakeholder support would be advantageous.

• Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, track deliverables and follow through on outstanding matters.

• Good communication skills and comfortable working with different stakeholders.

• Adaptable and willing to learn

• Proficient in using digital tools for tracking, documentation and collaboration; familiarity with grant management systems would be an advantage.
