We are excited to announce the addition of Villa Beatrice, which will complete the Belmond cluster in Portofino in 2025.

We are looking for a Assistant Chief Engineer to join our team at Portofino.

The ideal candidate will assist the Chief Engineer and the maintenance team across Splendido, Splendido Mare, and Villa Beatrice. The role involves general assistance in various engineering and maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel's facilities.

Main Duties & Responsabilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in daily operations and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
• Help in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• Assist in maintaining records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Support administrative practices of the department, in line with policies and procedures.
• Assist with sustainability projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Basic project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate sustainability initiatives effectively.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence decision-making.
