Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our ever-evolving Accounting Team and help shape the future of global commerce. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the financial processes that support our business, clients, and partners globally. Your contributions will help ensure reliable financial reporting, strengthen operational controls, and support informed business decisions that drive growth. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you'll have the opportunity to influence process improvements, develop your expertise, and make a meaningful impact while supporting Global Payments' mission to power commerce worldwide and build the future of payments.
What you'll own
- Drive financial accuracy and operational excellence by ensuring accounting transactions, reconciliations, and ledger activity are completed with precision, supporting reliable financial reporting and business decision-making.
- Strengthen financial controls and compliance by identifying discrepancies, resolving accounting exceptions, and improving accuracy across financial processes, reducing risk and enhancing operational integrity.
- Influence business outcomes through analysis and insights by researching financial data, validating complex transactions, and providing recommendations that support effective problem-solving and informed decisions.
- Enhance client and stakeholder confidence by serving as a trusted accounting resource, resolving inquiries and issues efficiently, and delivering timely, accurate financial information.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and team success by sharing expertise, supporting the development of colleagues, and helping implement more efficient accounting processes that improve productivity and scalability.
What you'll bring
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience performing reconciliations, validating financial transactions, and maintaining the integrity of accounting records and reporting.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Amenable to work on night shift (European business hours) once a week per month.
- Open to Fresh graduates
- CPA Finalist/ CPA recent passers
- Degree holder in the field of Accountancy
It's a bonus if you have
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and General Ledger systems.
