About the Role

As a Senior Application Developer, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. What You’ll Do

• Project Leadership: Lead and participate in project planning, identifying development tasks, creating work plans, and managing workflows to meet timelines.

• Coding & Integration: Build high-quality applications, perform code reviews, and ensure seamless integration with other platforms.

We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced developer who can operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Key qualifications include:

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of application programming and analysis experience, with a strong understanding of information systems and architecture standards.
• Proven success leading projects and delivering scalable solutions.

Technical Expertise

• Experience working with Composable Commerce solutions and modern technologies.
• Expertise in React for building modern, dynamic user interfaces and component-based architecture.
• Strong background in Microsoft development tools, including Visual Studio/Code and C# programming language.
• Expertise in microservice architecture, B2B2C solutions, and headless architecture platforms (e.g., CommerceTools, ContentStack).
• Deep understanding of NoSQL, relational database design, Object-Oriented Design Patterns, Event Streaming and integration methodologies.
• Advanced programming skills in multiple languages with a focus on test-driven development.

Key Skills

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into multiple solution options, clearly explaining the pros and cons of each.
• Proficient in mentoring and leading technical teams, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Technical experience in systems front-end/back-end development, networking, databases, and user support.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically requires 8 or more years of application programming and analysis experience.

Has a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards. Experience in leading projects. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions. Experience designing, developing and testing applications using proven or emerging technologies, in a variety of technologies and environments

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced programming skills in several programming languages

• Advanced understanding of relational database design and theory

• Ability to translate complicated business requirements into multiple solution options and explain the pros/cons of various approaches

• Advanced knowledge of Object-Orient Design Patterns and use cases for applying them

• Proficient communication skills and experience in mentoring/leading junior developers

• Technical experience with systems networking, databases, development, and user support.

• Good background in Data Base design (e.g. Microsoft SQL and Access)

• Exposure to servers technology (e.g. IBM Power 8) would be helpful to assist with integration

• Experience with WMS application (e.g. Inbound, Outbound, Pick pack and ship processes) preferred but not required.

Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
