ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

The TU Legal team is looking for a Privacy Operations Analyst to join our team.

TelevisaUnivision is committed to embedding privacy by design into our products and building a world-class privacy team to enable our business strategy. In accordance with privacy laws and regulations internationally, TelevisaUnivision’s Privacy Team is responsible for helping to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, including honoring individual privacy rights requests and providing appropriate opt out or other consent mechanisms for the sale or sharing of personal data. The role will report into the Law, Policy and Integrity team and will work closely with engineering and product teams across TelevisaUnivision.

ABOUT YOU: 

A successful candidate will have proven experience supporting privacy operations, including individual privacy rights, consent management, and data requests. The role will interface directly with legal, business, product, and engineering teams, requiring strong organizational and technology skills. Experience with privacy management platforms, including but not limited to OneTrust, and translating legal requirements into operational processes is strongly preferred.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)

• Document and optimize the company’s Privacy Operations processes, such as individual requests, including step-by-step process flows, e-mail templates, and response timelines

• Manage Privacy Operations platforms and tooling, including but not limited to OneTrust, that implement access, deletion, opt-out, and consent

• Review, triage, and respond to internal and external inquiries, such as those received via email and in tickets

• Maintain and update inventory of the company’s data partners and contracts involving the handling of personal data

• Serve as liaison between Legal and Technical teams handling Privacy Operations, including translating legal requirements into technical classifications for data, processes, and tools

• Ensure timely handling of all individual requests, and approving/processing or rejecting each request in accordance with laws, deadlines, and internal processes

• Partner with business and technical owners to implement changes necessary to comply with privacy law, such as access, deletion, opt-out, and consent

• Prepare weekly/monthly reports

• Partner with legal resources to understand various requirements and the global privacy landscape

• Research options for automating and/or streamlining compliance tasks, including leveraging technology tools

• Maintain and enhance playbooks and contract templates

• Serve as a liaison between Legal and Procurement teams, on the one hand, and external vendors and other business partners, on the other hand, to update data provisions of contracts.

• Assist with other privacy-related tasks, such as data inventory, discovery, or mapping

YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

•  1-2 years of professional experience in data privacy, security risk management, or compliance

• IAPP certification such CIPM or CIPT is preferred

• Strong project management skills, project planning methodologies

• Experience in managing digital platforms

• Experience with Privacy Operations platforms, such as OneTrust, TrustArc, ServiceNow, Ethyca, DataGrail, Osano, or Ketch

• General knowledge of compliance processes

• Fluent in English/Spanish
